We are pleased to have worked with both George Newburn of Studio 440 and Bob Hodas in further refining our monitoring environment. Tannoy 15" Time Align Monitors are soffit mounted with switchable self-powered Genelec 1031a and Yamaha NS-10m nearfields. Both the Tannoys and Yamahas are powered by Hafler Trans-Nova amps.

Bob's projects have included analyzation and tuning of rooms for studio bau:ton and Walter Storyk as well as House of Sound/NY, Bad Animals/Seattle and Conway/LA. George specializes in architectural design for audio and his projects include House of Sound, Bad Animals, Post Logic/LA, A&M Studios/Hollywood, The Complex/West Los Angeles and Danny Elfman's studio in Venice, CA.

Bios

Andrew Click

Andrew Click has been surrounded by music his whole life. From his upbringing in a family that both created and were deeply inspired by all music, Andrew has spent the last 12 years formally crystallizing his career as a producer/engineer. Andrew’s extensive education and study has over the years provided the basis for the expertise he has developed. He has worked at numerous world-class facilities including Ocean studios, Cello Studios, Ocean Way West and many others. In the last few years, Andrew has further solidified his skills collaborating with world-class producers and engineers.

Andrew has spent years providing highly coveted consultation services designing studios for business and consumer clientele. Effectively determining equipment needs and studio arrangements, Andrew intimately understands studio planning and has been instrumental in the creation of many home-based studios and professional recording environments. Always on the forefront of audio technology, Andrew demonstrates his expertise as a knowledgeable audio engineer, versed in Protools, SSL, Neve and other classic era vintage and cutting edge gear. Also skilled as a console technician, and maintenance engineer.

Colleagues and industry professionals continually recognize his skills as a mixing engineer and producer. In 2006, his contribution as an engineer on Eddie Turner’s “Rise” album received a WC Handy Award and nomination for Best New Artist Debut. Dozens of songs, on which Andrew was the mix engineer and or producer, have been finalists for many years of the New Mexico Music Awards as well as other prestigious nominations and recognitions in the industry.

 

Edgard Rivera

Edgard Rivera has along repertoire of music success stemming from his roots in singing/songwriting. Rivera’s vast musical experiences include performances with Joan Baez, Pete Seeger and others for over 30 years at varied events including Musicians for Safe Energy with an audience of over 200,000. He has performed at such venues as the People’s Voice Cafe and the Neoyorican Poet’s Cafe in New York City and La Peña in San Francisco. He has created and performed music for film and award-winning videos. Rivera was the 1986 winner of the Austin Songwriters Competition.

Rivera’s production and management experience is also storied. He created TuCasa Studios in New York’s Lower East side, has owned a professional home recording and production facility in Mexico, and ushered both a retail store and two studios into the digital age. In 2002 Rivera bought Taj Pro Audio Services, a small Santa Fe Protools project studio. Renaming the studio to Rancho Digital Recordings Studio, Rivera developed the once small Protools project studio into a professional, state-of-the-art Protools HD facility. Under Rivera, Rancho Digital quickly produced an award-winning album with the Latin ensemble Nosotros. The New Mexico Mic Awards acclaimed him “best producer” for 2004.

While Rivera was earning his Operators Certificate For Music Recording, Rancho Digital partnered with Stepbridge Studios. Three years later, Rivera took ownership of the operation. In two short years, Rivera has transformed Stepbridge Studios into a powerhouse of music recording and film production projects. His team has welcomed back an impressive list of local artists, producers and directors, and created the innovative live music show “The Indie Lounge at Stepbridge.”  Many of Stepbridge’s recent productions have won at the New Mexico Music Awards.
